Equità: Presente!

The “Equità: Presente!” project stemmed from the analysis of data from the Teen Survey conducted by Fondazione Libellula, which looked into adolescents’ perceptions of gender-based violence and involved more than 1,500 young people throughout Italy. Key activities: emotional education, training of students and educational staff as “Ambassadors”, development of anti-violence policies in schools, and awareness-raising campaigns.

Education - Gender stereotypes

The Equità: Presente project aims to promote a culture of respect, empathy, and gender equity among adolescents through an integrated educational and training approach designed to prevent and address gender-based violence.

The main objectives are developed through:

  • Education for students regarding emotions, consent and gender equity, aimed at fostering emotional awareness and promoting healthy relationships;

  • Training teacher and educational staff Ambassadors, to provide tools for recognising, managing and preventing gender-based violence during adolescence;

  • Programs to support schools, Youth Centers, and Day Centers in defining an internal policy on violence prevention and intervention;

  • Campaigns to boost collective understanding and raise awareness.
