Who we are

Fondazione Libellula is the first network of companies in Italy and Europe that share a commitment to preventing and combating gender-based violence and all forms of discrimination. Founded in 2017 as a Corporate Social Responsibility project of Zeta Service and now its social enterprise, we have been an independent foundation since 2020. Our aim is to pursue profound cultural change through training, awareness-raising and education. We believe in a society where respect, equity and freedom are the norm, and we strive daily to make this vision a reality.

What we do

We transform living and working environments, to make them more equal, inclusive and safe. We operate in three main areas:

Companies

We support companies in building workplaces free from stereotypes, harassment and discrimination. We do this through training programmes, assessments, policies and internal and external communication campaigns.

Schools

We teach little girls and boys and adolescents about respect, emotions, consent and gender equity, through innovative educational projects, learning kits, podcasts and workshop activities for teachers, students and families.

Society

We organise and promote social campaigns, public events and cultural projects designed to engage the whole community, with the aim of encouraging collective dialogue about the change that is needed.

How we do it

We design specific, tailored, engaging programmes, because we believe that awareness is the first step towards change.

Analysis
Each intervention starts with listening carefully. Surveys, focus groups and discussion sessions help us understand the real needs and specific features of each context.
Training and Awareness
We provide practical tools and educational content designed to help recognise and deconstruct stereotypes and deeply rooted cultural dynamics, encouraging fair and responsible behaviour.
Active Engagement
We build communities. We believe in the power of collective change, which can only come from the active participation of individuals and organisations, valuing experiences and best practices.
Impact Measurement
We constantly monitor the efficacy of our actions, because change is also measured by results: in corporate culture, in the growth and development of young people and in the messages that reach society.

Mission

Understand

The first step to tackling gender-based violence is to understand it, so we must observe the signs, understand the causes, which run deep, and recognise its cultural foundations. Our work is focused on a constant commitment to listening, analysis and research: we collect data, study behaviours, monitor language and analyse organisational environments and social dynamics. Only through clear and evidence-based understanding can we dismantle the stereotypes that fuel it and build truly effective actions to tackle it.

Act

We design and promote educational and training programmes and awareness-raising, empowerment and prevention projects aimed at individuals, companies, schools and local communities. We believe that everyone can play their part: as an individual, as a professional and as a member of society.

Change

Our goal is to create profound, lasting cultural change, driven and shaped by awareness, collective responsibility, fairer relationships, more inclusive environments and a more just society.

Vision

We envision a world free from gender-based violence, where respect, equality and inclusion are the norm. A world where no one should feel unsafe, discriminated against or silenced because of their gender. Every day, we endeavour to create safer workplaces, healthier relationships, and a culture in which violence has no place.
